How I handle renting to a service member. Military clause in the lease, so if PCS orders come you give notice and you are out. The lease comes from the KMC Housing Office, their contract and their wording, not something I hand you to sign. Your deposit goes into a separate escrow account as German law requires, earns interest that belongs to you, and comes back after handover. And I help with the practical German things that cost newcomers weeks: registering electricity and gas, the resident parking permit, and how the recycling actually works.
